Officially Creative Woodworking  has been in existence since early 2002, but I have been involved in woodworking all of my life.  Helping my father build everything from barns to furniture pieces instilled a life-long desire in me to create objects with function and beauty from wood. 

 Throughout a twenty-two year career in computer software development I was always working with wood as a pastime and creative outlet.  And I was often building furniture because I could never quite find what I wanted in the furniture stores.  Pieces that I found were either the wrong size, wrong wood, or simply too cheaply made.  As friends and acquaintances began asking me to make custom pieces for them,  I realized I could pursue my dream of creating custom furniture and cabinetry that would be appreciated by customers who want true quality craftsmanship that will last for generations.

 Furniture building soon led to kitchen cabinet construction.  My approach to kitchen cabinets is the same as my approach to furniture.  The goal is to work with the customer to create something of lasting beauty and unsurpassed functionality.  All the cabinetry, like the furniture, is hand made and hand finished.

 I have a passion for  woodworking that I hope shows in the work I do.  There is nothing more rewarding for me than to deliver a piece of furniture or complete a kitchen and see customers who feel as if they have gotten more than they paid for and something they will be proud to have for years to come.
